Nine Months

Our sweet Eleanor is nine months old already!

She is growing and learning new things every day, and she is becoming such a sweet and loving little girl. It's amazing to watch her figure things out and discover new skills. She's been clapping for a while now, but now she understands the word clap and will clap when we ask "can you clap?". Eleanor also knows Nemo's name! Whenever we ask "where's Nemo?" she looks all around until she spots him and smiles. She babbles up a storm, and now says mama mama frequently. Her favorite words are baba baba, dada dada and mama mama. And when she's frustrated she lets out a loud Mmmmmmm! She is sitting really well, and she seems really close to waving bye bye.

Eleanor still loves her solids. Some new favorites are cantaloupe, plums and peaches. She also loves to gum non-solids, such as spatulas, measuring cups, books and Daddy's phone.

She loves to play games, and will even initiate a game of peek-a-boo! She pulls a blanket up over her face, then back down really fast with a cheesy grin on her face. Eleanor is still toothless and has the best gummy grins. I may or may not call her gummy bear or my little gum drop on a regular basis. She also enjoys clicking her tongue and smacking her lips at us. She still loves being worn in the carrier for walks and when I'm cooking or doing chores.

Grandma and Grandpa Meyer came to visit this month! Eleanor had a blast spending time with them, and even found her first geocache with them! She is pretty handy with a GPS. Here is a short video of highlights from their visit.

Here are some more pictures from Eleanor's ninth month of life, and her nine month video. Enjoy!
